Privacy policy

webinars.fyi is a directory of technology events, operated by Rare Bird Lab. This page describes exactly what the site collects. It is short because the site collects very little.
What we collect
If you submit an event
The submission form asks for the event's details and your email address. The email is used only to contact you about that submission, for example if a detail needs checking. It is not published on the site, not added to a mailing list, and not sold or shared with anyone.
If you click through to an event
Links to events pass through this site so we can count them. We record which listing was clicked, the company hosting it, where on the site the link sat, and the time. We do not record your IP address, set an identifier, or attempt to recognise you across visits.
What we do not collect
No analytics cookies, no advertising trackers, no third-party scripts, and no accounts. The only thing stored in your browser is your light or dark theme choice, kept in local storage so the site remembers it. Nothing is sent to us.
Fonts and third parties
Typefaces are served from this domain, so loading a page makes no request to Google Fonts or any other font host.
Links out to events carry parameters identifying webinars.fyi as the source, which is how the company hosting the event can see that you arrived from here. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies. We have no control over it.
Where the data lives
Submissions and click counts are stored in a Postgres database hosted by Neon. The site is hosted by Vercel. Both operate in the United States.
Your data
To have a submission or its email address removed, write to summer@rarebirdlab.com and it will be deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
